DROP OFF AND PICK UP (COVID-19)

BEFORE SCHOOL

Please only pack essential items in your child’s bag, the class teacher will inform you as to what they will need.

If your child or anyone in your household have a high temperature or any other Covid 19 symptoms  DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD TO SCHOOL and follow guidance. Please let the office know.

Reassure your child. This is a stressful time, but we are taking these measures to keep everyone safe.

ON ARRIVAL

The site will open to pupils at 8.50am, upon arrival they should go directly to their designated drop off point. Staff will take your child to their class.

All children will have their temperature taken at arrival point.

A member of staff will meet and bring children to the class, parents will not be permitted in the school buildings.

Please maintain social distancing rules as you wait for your child to be collected by staff.

The office will not be opened to parents, please put any money in a labelled envelope (Pupil name, Amount of money & purpose) in your child’s bag. We are also using Parent Pay where you can pay your fees online.

We ask that older pupils (R5-7) enter the school site without parents/guardians (where possible).

Please walk/cycle to school if possible.

If a child is late parent must call school office from the street. When an adult is available, they will collect your child from their collection point.

AFTER SCHOOL

Please wait at the same area you left your child off at in the morning a member of staff will bring your child to you.

R4-7 will have a staggered leaving time starting with R4. This is to avoid congestion at the main school gate.

We cannot let the next class out until the previous has cleared, please leave the school area promptly.

R4-7 parents will not be permitted in the school site.

If you have children in different classes that finish at same time, please collect the youngest child first.

We understand that these measures are far from our usual school day however it is essential that we keep our children, families and staff safe.
