Covid19 Mitigations

29th Nov 2021

In an effort to keep everyone safe in the lead up to Christmas, and with increasing case numbers of Covid19 in the school community, I would ask parents to take notice of the following reminders;

  • Parents and visitors are asked not to enter the school building without prior arrangement to do so.  This includes coming to the office to speak to Sinéad or dropping pupils off in the morning.  Please ring 02890313283 if you wish to call in, this will help us remain socially distanced and reduced foot fall in the small hallway at the entrance to the school.  It is best to use the ParentPay App for school dinner fees etc. when possible. (Ring the office for log on details if you do not already have them).

  • It is important that all parents have access to their child's Seesaw account.  This gives direct access to the classroom teacher and important messages are shared here weekly.  Most queries and questions etc. can be directed to your child's classroom teacher through the Seesaw app in the first instance. (Ring the office for log on details if you do not already have them).

  • Please continue to be vigilant for the main Coronavirus symptoms; high temperature, lost of taste/smell, new & persistent cough.  Should your child display any of these we would ask that a PCR test is taken (not a lateral flow) and to only return to school if a negative result is received.

  • Please note also that I have asked all staff to move face-face meetings online or via phone calls until the New Year when we can assess the Covid numbers/situation again.  If you are due to have a parent-teacher meeting in the coming weeks this will likely be rearranged for you by the class teachers.

A huge thank you to the entire school community for working together to keep everyone safe!
